ISO 9001:2000 Certificate

SCC Corporation Sdn Bhd was recently awarded ISO 9001:2000 certification by Lloyds Registrar Quality Assurance [LRQA]. The scope of the certification includes sales and marketing of commercial Foodservice equipment and animal health products with provision of technical services, warehouse management and stockholding for our range of products.

During the six months we were preparing for the certification, we had developed our Quality Management System manual, defined quality policies and objectives. Quality procedures with work processes were drawn up with flow charts, work instructions etc covering all aspects of our operation, resulting in standardization and facilitating operational excellence. We were also checking the consistencies through these ‘living’ documentations that our staff should be doing what they are supposed to be doing. Training needs were also identified and yearly training schedules planned for employees to be more well verse in performing their duties.

Mr. Ben Cher, our chairman who spearheaded the ISO project said: “We are very proud to achieve this milestone event and it is very gratifying at being ISO 9000:2000 certified. This achievement indicates our commitment to quality and enhances our efforts to continually improve the services rendered to our customers'. He reiterated: ‘This highly successful fast track project is a classic example of cross functional teams working together striving for a focused common goal. Thanks to the ISO Steering Committee, Management Representative, QA’s and 12 staff members playing the role of internal auditors”.

Mr. Francis Cher, Managing Director told employees gathered for the award ceremony: "ISO certification is a vital part of standardization of our processes which allowed us to manage rapid growth, the certification will help us to ensure our leadership in our industries. SCC has an excellent Quality Management System in place that ensures our ability to continually maintain and enhance high standards in work performance. ". He thanked everyone at SCC, our working partners, suppliers and service providers for contributing to this important achievement. He added: ‘We are glad to have business relationships with long term ‘historic’ suppliers who constantly provide us world-class, innovative products with effective modern solutions for our industries’.
