It was therefore imperative for us to engage a Total Quality Management (TQM) consultant to tailor-made a World Class Management System (SCC TQM) in order to build up strong and cohesive teams within our organization. Ever since 2000, the facilitator and our Steering Committee would table out annual training programs designed to promote leadership, strategic organizational and cultural changes, total customers service and skills development which meet the learning needs of our employees. The core values of SCC TQM are: continuous improvement, project management, problem solving tools and techniques, team spirits and many others.
The motivation theories having profound impact upon our organizational cultures. These training programs provide great opportunities to develop greater awareness and understanding of self-motivation, expectations, behavior characteristics and attitudes-change of our staff. Through various projects, employees do learn how to relate effective applications necessary to overcome barriers and constraints at work. Programs also focus on leadership, organizational development, flatter structures, role realignment and empowerment to obtain best bottom-line results.
Employees’ performances are evaluated annually with appraisals on individual’s specific job skills, quality of work, competencies, and participations in cross-functional assignments. This review process allows us the opportunity to match employees’ unique skills to the needs of our business. It also allows us to reward and recognize employees who commensurate with hard work and dedication.
